Matte Painting is a type of painting represented by filmmakers to create the illusion of an environment that would otherwise be too expensive or impossible to build or visit. Our trainers have split the classes into 3 Levels that span a total of 6 days, for a comprehensive learning environment.
In Level 1, participants are exposed to the composition and perspective of colors, liner art and concept, painting and lastly color blending. To ease participants into the course, learners would be tasked with painting a simple household object as a form of in-class exercise.
In Level 2 we take our learners to a slightly higher level of painting. This level includes expounding learners to Wacom and brush customization, speed painting and the basics of matte painting. Once again, participants will be tasked with a matte painting exercise with composite photographs.
Lastly, in Level 3, the most advanced level in our course, learners will be tasked with matte painting and an exercise on it. Participants will also be given some fundamental introduction on art styles.
